David Lange
Owner/Stylist
David has worked in a hair salon for over 30 years. He began his training in Ann Arbor, gained valuable knowledge and experience in California and Traverse City, and established himself in an Ann Arbor salon. He began working at In Chelsea Hair Design 15 years ago and purchased the salon in 2013. As an owner and stylist he has seen the salon expand; not only in its beautiful, new location but adding talented, experienced stylists along the way.
David brings 30+ years of experience, skill and professionalism to his clients and salon.
Christine Powell
Stylist
Christine has been in the beauty industry for 28 years and has enjoyed her passion for hair since day one. Christine came to In Chelsea Hair Design in 2008 and enjoys working with her salon family.
Her most rewarding aspect of working in the Industry is making people look and feel beautiful about themselves. She makes sure everyone who sits in her chair knows they are her number one priority.
Christine continues her education going to shows and private classes to keep up on the latest styles. She looks forward to seeing you and using her talents to make you look amazing!
Rose Lawrence
Stylist
With over 38 years of experience, Rose has proven to have a true passion and eye for detail and design that leaves you feeling your absolute best. She is a certified organic All Nutrient color specialist and is committed to staying up to date on the latest color and cutting trends.
Rose truly loves her clients, job and working at In Chelsea Hair Design.
Paula Camill
Stylist
Paula has been a hairstylist for more than 30 years. She strives to continue her education on trends of cuts and colors. Hair integrity is a big part of her work ethic. Hairstyles may change but Paula’s love for hair does not!
Billie Jo Owens
Stylist
Billie Jo has been a hairstylist for over 30 years and has worked in the Chelsea area for 18 years. She joined our team in 2019.
She is dedicated to making her clients feel and look their best. Billie Jo loves being inspired by the stylist team at In Chelsea. She enjoys learning and educating herself with classes and seminars. Her preferred color line is All Nutrient Organic and all-natural hair care.
Kayla Borders
Stylist
Kayla grew up in North Dakota and with her move to Michigan she was finally able to what she loves to do… make people feel amazing about themselves.
She attended Brighton Institute of Cosmetology and has been working in the industry for over 12 years. Her passion for hair started when she was in high school doing her friends’ hair. She has learned to really listen to her clients to understand what they want in a hairstyle that works best for their lifestyle. Her biggest goal is to teach her clients how to make their hair look good every day, not just when leaving the salon.
Kayla loves keeping up with the trends and going to hair shows to learn about new techniques and new products.
Susan Frederick
Stylist
Susan began her career in the hair industry 14 years ago. She loves her job because she gets to make every guest that sits in her chair feel great about themselves. “I get to meet so many new people along the way and everyone has a different story, which makes it a great adventure for me” says Susan.
She feels keeping up with education regularly is the best way to keep your style and technique, updated and fresh throughout the years. Born and raised in Chelsea, she knew she wanted to bring her individual style that offers something for everyone.
Paige King
Stylist
Paige got her cosmetology license in 2009. She has been working behind the chair for 13 years full time. She is nationally placed for her men’s haircuts. Back in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Paige was locally recognized for her bridal styling. She’s very versatile with hair, enjoying working with anything from short to long, men or women. Paige’s style is more about creating dimensional, textured, lived in hair. Come sit in her chair and let her help you love your hair again!
